As your District 4 Council Member, I have worked to be a voice for residents, neighborhoods, families, seniors, local businesses, and the people who too often feel that government is not listening to them. I am running for re-election because there is more work to do — and I will keep fighting for the kind of growth that actually benefits Melbourne: businesses that create real jobs, strengthen our local economy, and respect the character of our community.
Melbourne deserves smart, sustainable economic development — not data centers, not car washes on every corner, and not storage unit facilities that sit empty and contribute nothing to our community. Data centers consume enormous amounts of power and water while creating virtually no local jobs. Car washes and storage units may generate tax revenue, but they do not employ our neighbors, support local families, or add to the character of our neighborhoods. I oppose land use decisions that trade away Melbourne's future for low-impact, low-employment development. We should be attracting real employers — businesses that hire our residents, invest in our workforce, and strengthen the fabric of our community. .
